HR Systems Analyst - Payroll Job

Job Overview: 

Marathon Oil is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP HR Payroll Systems Analyst.  This role will perform the IT support efforts for SAP HR Payroll, SuccessFactors to SAP HR Employee replication and SAP HR Payroll related Interfaces.  Responsibilities will include system configuration and support, integration design and development, issue resolution, project management and process improvement.  The successful candidate will also work closely with HR in support of project activities and issue resolution. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, enhance, and provide upgrade support for SAP HR Payroll platforms based on business requirements.
• Configure and provide technical support for SAP HR Payroll (ECC), Time writing (CATS) and SuccessFactors to SAP HR on premise employee replication.
• Design, develop and test SAP HR Payroll solutions, including wage types, payroll schemas, and rules.
• Collaborate with IT, HR, and Finance teams to gather payroll requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Provide technical support for HR data file movements (banks, benefits, etc.) and integrations with SuccessFactors.
• Serve as a liaison between HR and IT to gather requirements, manage development, perform testing and migration to Production.
• Serve as a technical liaison to applicable vendors supporting both on premise and SAAS solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in SAP HR Payroll to identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
• Monitor and upgrade BSI Tax factory Cyclic, Regulatory and year end activities.
• Document the workflows of existing processes to identify and recommend process and system improvements.
• Ensure compliance of related audit controls for supported systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.  Concentration in MIS, Computer Science or other technical degree strongly preferred.
• 5-7 years’ experience including 5+ years in SAP HR Payroll implementations and support desired.
• Strong technical and business background required with knowledge of US payroll regulations, tax, and labor laws to ensure compliance in all payroll activities.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP HR Payroll issues.
• Proficiency in debugging ABAP programming language
• Experience with SuccessFactors modules including Employee Central Payroll preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of IT controls and audit concerns
• Strong ability to multi-task amongst multiple on-going initiatives
