We are currently looking for an experienced Measurement Technician to provide technical support for our Bakken resource play in North Dakota. The position will be based out of our Dunn Center field office. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of field measurement equipment and systems. The position will also require some after-hour call-outs and weekend duties. Responsibilities for assigned operations require approximately 80% of the time in the field and 20% in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Promotes supports and exhibits an active Health, Environment, and Safety culture at all times, following all established procedures and guidelines.
- Support pre-job and hazard assessment planning.
- Performs proving and calibration of MOC allocation meters utilizing ProveIT and TestIT.
- Assists in the installation, set up, and calibration of new equipment or upgrades after construction or as part of equipment change-outs.
- Determines gas-oil ratios and flare volumes.
- Troubleshoots and calibrates instrumentation.
- Troubleshoots separation vessels.
- Witnesses third-party Lease Automated Custody Transfer meter calibrations.
- Witnesses third party gas sales meter calibrations
- Ensure we are staying in compliance with state regulations in regards to crude conditioning.
- Produces and presents formal recommendations on facility design and operation.
- Support facilities and production engineering initiatives.
- Completes routine calculations, records test results, and arranges data for review and analysis.
- Provide post-job feedback to measurement supervisor and production operations
- Perform pre-start-up facility inspections.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to employees and contractors.
- Utilize SAP PM, WorkIt, and ApproveIt, and Click for maintenance planning activities.
- Report failure modes and mechanisms into SAP PM
- Work with the planning and scheduling team to ensure compliance with planned maintenance activities.
- Work with GSC to ensure appropriate inventory transactions take place based on work completed.
- Review and approve contractor invoices for accuracy.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of oil and gas experience is preferred.
- Post Secondary education is considered a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
